Impact of resilience on performance

This factor refers to how you bounce back after a mistake.

It is different from mental toughness as resilience is about the reaction after an error has occurred.

Have you ever put your hand up in class to answer a question only to get it wrong? Did you then feel reluctant to put your hand up to answer any more questions? If the answer is yes then this would suggest that you need to work on your resilience to help you move past your previous error and contribute answers without fear.

This is similar in sport. There are some athletes who bounce back from mistakes and continue unfazed. However, others go hiding in case they make the same mistake again. This has an impact on the overall performance.
