Wealth

There are large variations in wealth between countries and within countries. It's estimated that the richest 10% of the world's population receives 52% of global income. Meanwhile, the poorest 50% receives just 8% of global income.

Uneven development can lead to higher rates of migration. People migrate for many different reasons, usually as a result of push and pull factors. Some people move to find better employment opportunities, others flee dangerous situations.
