Rod Thomas biography

Rod Thomas

Last updated: 02 February 2009

Rod Thomas is a London-based Welsh singer-songwriter with a line in indie-pop gems.

Since releasing his debut single Good Coat in 2006 on his own Self Raising Records label Thomas' popularity has grown via his charming, introspective pop and storming live shows around the world.

In 2008, Thomas played a string of British festivals, including Glastonbury, Latitude and The Greenman Festival, as well as doing sessions for the likes of Huw Stephens and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music's Tom Robinson.

Thomas has collaborated with cult electo wizard Boom Bip, the LA-based musician who famously collaborated with the Super Furry Animal's Gruff Rhys under the guise of Neon Neon and has spread his net further afield with performances at revered industry showcase festival South by South West in Austin, Texas.

2009 will see the release of his debut mini album, Until Something Fits, as well as continuing to provide remixes for fellow artists - a growing list that has so far included Sam Isaac and James Yuill.
