1970: What Dame Maggie Smith thought of winning an Oscar

In 1970, Dame Maggie Smith sat down with Michael Aspel to talk about her career and on winning awards.

She won her first Academy Award, for best actress, in 1969 for playing the title character in the film The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, having been previously nominated for best supporting actress. She would later go on to win another for best supporting actress in 1978.
