2005: Ban on hunting comes into force
On the day after the law to make Fox hunting with dogs illegal in England and Wales came into effect, more than 250 hunts ride out.
The hunt is cheered on by tens of thousands of supporters, while police and anti-hunting campaigners are also out in force.
