1934: "Why should we not sing?"

"Hundreds of wars have swept over these hills, but the harp of Wales has never yet been silenced by one of them."

David Lloyd George originally gave this speech in Aberystwyth in 1915 at the proclamation ceremony for the National Eisteddfod of Wales, which was held in the town the following year.
