1: Leaving London - synopsis
David, Tucky and their school friends are to be evacuated from London to Devon to escape the Blitz. They take the underground from Islington to Paddington Station with their suitcases and gas masks. At Paddington they're given name cards to hang around their necks and join the many other evacuees in the station. During a three-hour delay before departure they sit on their suitcases and wonder what awaits them in Devon and when they’ll see London again.
