A good night for West Ham and Spurs but a poor one for Leicester.

We'll be back for all the Premier League action this weekend.

West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes tells BT Sport: "OK, pleased we won but we did not play as well as we would have liked. We made a few changes but we are in a lot of competitions and we have to make it work for the whole squad.

"It was a really good goal and pleased for Declan Rice, he is doing that more, driving forward and getting into the box.

"The minute the referee gave the penalty, I thought it must have been. I was disappointed initially that Ben Johnson had dangled his leg out but when the referee got called over he does not touch him at all. Thankfully it was not given.

"I want to try and be in Europe after Christmas by finishing one or two so we want to win the group if we can. We are not going to let up, we are enjoying it and won't be letting it go easy but I have to manage Premier League games too.

"We are capable of handling it and the squad we have can handle it too. It will be tough but I hope we can manage it."

Sadly, more missiles were thrown at the end of the game, with Rapid fans exchanging insults with West Ham counterparts.

About 10 minutes after the final whistle, police stepped in as more objects were thrown, this time from the back of the Rapid Vienna and the West Ham fans above them.

As I have come into the media room, security were trying to deal with a very irate couple of Rapid fans as the larger number still in the stands were hurling abuse.

What a start to the season Michail Antonio has had. Another assist tonight.

No Premier League player has been directly involved in more goals this season in all competitions than Antonio (10 - 6 goals, 4 assists, level with Mohamed Salah).

Declan Rice is the first West Ham player to score at home in a major European game since Frank Lampard against NK Osijek in the Uefa Cup in September 1999.

Rice is also just the third player to score on both of his first two European appearances for West Ham (excl. qualifiers), after David Cross in 1980 and Brian Dear in 1965.

Spurs' win takes them top of Europa Conference League Group G.

They are above Rennes on goal difference, with Vitesse one point behind the pair.

The winners of the group go into the last 16, while the team who finish second have to play a round before then - against a team who finish third in a Europa League group.

So finishing top of the group is worthwhile really - it saves you having two games in February.

West Ham United

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, speaking to BT Sport: "It was amazing. As players we knew how big tonight actually was. We had to win as well. We want to top this group, that is all we want to do. We will take it a game at a time. It is a good night for us and the fans, who have waited a long time to see this.

"When I knew I was playing with Nobes (Mark Noble) I said that I was going to try and bomb on a bit tonight. I said to him I wold score. When the situation come I saw there was a bit of space to run into and if you don't make the runs you won't get a chance. To score again, it is becoming a nice feeling. I wish it could be every week.

"Nobes is special. I have spent six seasons with him. First two as a kid and four with the first team. I have learned so much from him. To play next to him, see what he is like as a person and a man. There is no one better to learn from. I am going to cherish every game I get to play next to him this season."

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo to BT Sport: "Pretty good [performance]. We started very well, our dynamic was good.

"The beginning of the second half, they scored. After that we played good. A good game.

"It [the triple sub] was needed. The best way to prepare the players is to play. The minutes were important for the boys.

"A lot of positives."

Harry Kane is the third player to score a hat-trick in three different major Uefa competitions.

German duo Jupp Heynckes and Gerd Muller were the other two. It was the European Cup, Uefa Cup and Cup Winners' Cup back in their days.

James: 5-1 was also the score of the 1963 Cup Winners Cup final, when Spurs became the first English team to win a European trophy.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Harry Kane to BT Sport: "We started the game really well, went two ahead, but we lost our way a little bit. They scored a great goal.

"We made it harder than we neded to.

"It was nice to come off the bench and score a few goals."

Was his introduction planned? "We hadn't spoken about it. It was all depending on how the game was going.

"The momentum shifted in their favour. It was about coming on and doing a job for the team.

"Us as players and staff need to stick together and work ahrd. Our recent form has not been great but we need to try to turn it round next game.

"Every striker wants to score goals. I probably wasn't expecting to come on today but it's nice to get the minutes. Whenever you see the ball hit the back of the net it's a good feeling. Hopefully we can take it into the weekend."

Is he running out of space for all his match balls? "No, there's always room for more. Hopefully a few more this season."

He certainly is. Another top display from the England midfielder again tonight. If he is going to start adding regular goals to his game, he'll be a frightening player.

Harry Kane has had four shots in the Europa Conference League and scored three of them.

Harry Kane is the first Tottenham player to score a hat-trick as a substitute since Ronny Rosenthal against Southampton in the FA Cup in March 1995.

He has scored six goals in nine games this season now. Kane, not Rosenthal.

The Rapid Vienna fans looked to have chilled out a bit. They are applauding their players, who have gone en masse to the away end. Nothing getting thrown at home fans now.
