Well, that was a bit of a shame. This double-header between London Spirit and Southern Brave has been marred by the rain.

We did get a result in the 85-ball women's game as Maia Bouchier powered Brave to a win...

...but the men's match fell to the weather in the first innings.

But never fear, we're back tomorrow with four games. Trent Rockets host Northern Superchargers at 11:30 BST in the women's competition, before the men's sides get going at 15:00 BST.

At the same time, the Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals women's sides will be starting in south London, with the men's sides finishing us off at 18:30 BST.

The forecast is set fair in both London and Nottingham (honest!) so there's a lot of cricket in store.

The umpires have stayed out on the pitch under their umbrellas.

They're obviously keen to get the match on, but the elements may be conspiring against them.

That sound of the hover cover? I hate it, I have always hated it and I have never said otherwise.

You would not believe it looking at that shot, but James Vince has a poor record against Matt Critchley in T20 cricket, with five dismissals in six innings against the leg-spinner.

Spirit are going to introduce spin for the first time with Matt Critchley. The ball is going to be damp from the outfield, and the leggie has a towel tucked into his waistband for that purpose.

James Vince wastes no time getting us going, hitting Jordan Thompson consecutive fours. He pulls to the ropes behind square before offering up a sumptuous shot through the covers while lifting himself up on his toes.

And we have our match conditions. Each side will play a 50-ball innings, with bowlers limited to two sets each (so Dan Worrall, who was so impressive opening the bowling, is already done for the day).
