Thank you very much for following our coverage on night 11 of Premier League darts in Birmingham, where Michael van Gerwen beat Luke Littler in the final.

Next up, we're off to Rotterdam for night 12 as we get another week closer to finding out which four players will make the play-off round in London next month.

Next week sees the Premier League roadshow rock up in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Here is a reminder of what the quarter-finals for next week will look like:

Michael van Gerwen speaking to Sky Sports: "I know how it works, people write you off when you lose but that's how it goes. If you look at the last few weeks, I've had some good weeks and maybe someone like Luke Littler has just been the way. It's an important win for me."

How important was the win over Nathan Aspinall: "The game against Nathan is the most important for me tonight and the best. You need to make sure you keep focussing week after week."

On winning the final after recent struggles: "When you have to grind and dig deep, it is always nice. Nights like this give you confidence, it does something for you. The fighting spirit in my body is still there, I'm feeling good and confident."

Michael van Gerwen speaking to Sky Sports: "About time. I've made it a bit hard, to be fair. It is what it is. How do you bounce back? The last few weeks has not been great for me, but a win for me is great for me."

On winning his fourth night of the season: "I'm going to win more than four."

On winning in tough circumstances: "I had to go really deep tonight. I don't know why. Like Michael Smith I didn't play my A-game, to win nights like this, you don't have to play well. I've struggled for a few weeks but to win tonight gives me confidence."

Luke Littler grows his lead at the top of the table to two points.

Michael van Gerwen's night win moves him up to third, only four points off Littler and two behind Luke Humphries in second.

A quarter-final win for Michael Smith tonight leaves him a point off the top four.

Not the best of finals, but Van Gerwen has gained momentum late in games and has picked up his fourth night win of the season.

A very good night for him and he beats Littler to gain an important victory.

Van Gerwen ends the night up in third, but closes in on Littler and Humphries.

Littler's chances of a third straight night win look slim as Van Gerwen breaks his throw.

As we've seen tonight, Van Gerwen is peaking later in games.

He needs three darts at double 10, but with the third, lands the double to go 5-3 up and he has the darts in the next leg.

Like Van Gerwen did in the last leg, Littler starts against the throw with three perfect darts for his first maximum of the night and leaves himself on 87 after nine darts.

It could have been a 12-dart break from Littler, but he goes low on bull.

Van Gerwen holds on and finishes a 58 checkout on double 10 to go 4-3 up.

This is a game that literally has no pattern.

Van Gerwen starts off the sixth leg with the match's first maximum to try and give him some much-needed momentum.

A 133 checkout attempt from Mighty Mike almost comes off, but he misses out on double eight.

He does get another three darts at it, landing in the double with the second.

You will seldom see this pair play this poorly.

They both know a two-minute spell on it can see them win this game.

A 171 from Van Gerwen follows on from that last checkout of 121 and seems to give him control.

Littler then throws a nine, one, seven, one, summing up how he is playing in the last couple of legs.

Both men are not at their best by any stretch, with Van Gerwen missing two darts at double eight to take out 25.

Littler comes back to snatch leg five with a 44 checkout. He does not look pleased with it though.

Michael van Gerwen is starting to show glimpses.

A really poor start from both men in this leg needs something to spark it up.

That will do it from Van Gerwen who checks out on 125. A brilliant 25, treble 20 then tops to level up.

That had been an awful leg and both men are averaging in the low 80s so far.

I'm not a mind reader so I don't know what is going through their minds, but I wonder if they are playing each other at the moment.

It is anyone's game at the moment because they are both playing well below their level.

It has been a fairly nervy and low-scoring affair from both so far.

Both men are left on 40 in the second leg. Van Gerwen goes 20 and then busts on double 15.

Littler is given three darts to break but does the job in one.

Michael van Gerwen is not happy at all. You can tell by his approach to the board to collect his darts.

Better from Littler, helped by some low-scoring from Van Gerwen.

Littler gets a chance at 112, going treble 18, 18 and then 20 to leave himself on his favoured double 10.

Littler only needs one dart at it to level.
