Andrew Mason

Andrew Mason joined Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Research Department (as it then was) in 1986. He has worked on a wide variety of audio and video projects over the years, including: the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's first disc-based digital audio editing system; low bit-rate audio coding; video watermarking; audio watermarking; audio-video synchronisation; audio visualisation; programme loudness measurement; ... and a few other broadcast-related signal processing applications.

He was appointed chairman of the EBU Expert Community for Audio when it was created, and later, chairman of the EBU Strategic Programme Group for Future Audio Formats and Radio Production. He is an active participant in several AES Standards Committee working groups, and in Working Party 6C of ITU-R.
