Should it be part of the National Curriculum?

The Red Cross is calling for first aid to be put on the National Curriculum. They claim it would help save lives and every child should have basic First Aid knowledge.

Meanwhile, teachers' unions claim they are already over-worked and the National Curriculum is already over-crowded.Ìý

Jenni talks to Chris Keates, General Secretary of the teachers' union, NASUWT andÌýMairi Allen, Head of Schools and Community Education at the British Red Cross.

PlusÌýYvonne Dormer, Commercial Training Coordinator for St John Ambulance, shows Claudia Hammond how to resuscitate someone who's not breathing.
