Ìý Life Expectancy 22ÌýOctoberÌý2004 Ìý
Male longevity is increasing faster than women’s

In the last few years, we have been coming to terms with the fact that our population is getting older. But the assumption is that most of the very old in the future will be womenÌýbecause they usually live longer than men.

Martha discusses what this might mean with Caroline Instance, Chief Executive of the actuarial Profession andÌýKate Hunt, medical sociologist with the Medical Research Council.
