As part of Architecture Week, hundreds of buildings are opened to the general public.
One of those opened to the public is that of Penny Poyzer and her husband Gil. The couple harvest the rainwater off their roof, use scrap wood to run their own independent heating system and have installed a 'poo chamber' in the cellar (pictured).
