Ìý Remembering the Rwandan genocide Tuesday 27 January 2004 Ìý
Bene Ubumwu
Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, and as April will be the 10th anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda, when up to a million Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed, the theme has been named as From the Holocaust to Rwanda; lessons learned, lessons still to learn.

Many Rwandans have sought refuge in other countries and there about 2,000 here in the UK. Four years ago some of those living in London formed a group called Bene Ubumwe, which means Children of Unity. Men, women and children gather together to dance and sing, performing around the country, and with the help of SURF, a charity for survivors of the genocide, they have just released a CD of their songs.
Felicity Finch joined some of the group for their weekly meeting in South London.
CD - Nzaza Group by Bene Ubumwe.
