Ìý Gender pairing in schools Tuesday 20 January 2004 Ìý
Anna Egan visits a school in Braintree, Essex where pairing boys and girls in the classroom brings better results for both sexes.

Other schools are taking up the gender pairing initiative. How does it work? Is there a danger of holding girls back?
Jenni is joined by John Hartley the headteacher who started the scheme and Dr Carrie Paechter, reader in education at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
