Mainstream religious attendance continues to decline in this country at a rapid rate. For instance in the decade to 2001 the Church of England lost almost 1 in 5 of regular worshippers.

Yet there are many signs of continued interest particularly amongst women in a spiritual life, from a proliferation of adverts for psychics in the back of women's magazines, to the many articles about Madonna and Kabbalah, and now Cosmopolitan Magazine is appointing a Spirituality editor.
So what is going on? What do younger women want in their spiritual lives and are there dangers in a mix and match approach to belief?
Christina Odone, deputy Editor of the New Statesman, Lorraine Candy, Editor of Cosmopolitan and sociologist Sylvia Collins of Kingston University join Jenni to discuss.
