Ìý Care of Elderly Asians Tuesday 25 February 2003 Ìý
With ethnic minorities now making up 9% of the UK's population, the number of elderly ethnic minorities is set to increase ten fold over the next 30 years.

The largest ethnic minority group in the UK are South Asians, who have traditionally been seen as taking care of their elderly within the family. But things are changing, with more people abandoning the traditional extended family.
Ramesh Verma, Chief Executive of EKTA (charity caring for Asian policy) and Naina Patel, of PRIAE (Policy Research Institute on Ageing and Ethnicity) join Jenni to discuss what the implications are for care of elderly Asians.
