From the day Myra Hindley's crimes were discovered her gender influenced the way she was perceived.
For some she was doubly monstrous, worse than Brady, because she was a woman and women aren't supposed to do the kind of things she did.
For others she was another of Brady's victims, abused and led on, because of course she was a woman and women aren't supposed to do the kind of things she did.
So what do we think now that feminism has come of age and we are prepared to accept that women are not necessarily the weaker or the gentler sex.
Christina Odone, deputy editor of the New Statesman and writer Yvonne Roberts, who met Hindley 14 years ago join Jenni to discuss.
