Ìý Clergy & Parishioners Wednesday 18 September 2002 Ìý
The recent case of a Cumbrian vicar appealing against his dismissal for allegedly harassing women parishioners has highlighted the need for a rarely heard debate. Unlike cases of child abuse by clergy, the stories of adult - generally female - abuse victims' seldom make the headlines.

Jenni talks to Margaret Kennedy who has been battling to make these adult victims' voices heard through her support group MACSAS, and to Jean Mayland whose organisation is studying the relationship between a vicar and his parishioners.
MACSAS (Minister & Clergy Sexual Abuse Survivors) can be contacted at: MACSAS c/o BM-CSSA, London WC1N 3XX.
