In the United States, some of the FBI's most wanted fugitives are anti-abortion terrorists suspected of bombings, arson attacks and murder. In Britain, the tactics of anti-abortion groups have been limited to lawful protest.
However there's a suggestion that opposition to abortion here might be taking a more sinister turn. A solicitors' firm which has acted for an abortion clinic in Birmingham was recently sent a letter, purporting to be from an American extremist group the Army of God. The letter warned the lawyers that they were now regarded as "legitimate targets". A newsletter containing details of the bombing of an American clinic was also enclosed.
Jenni asks whether it's a one-off, a hoax or whether it's a sign that anti-abortion terrorism is about to hit Britain.
