Boy Reading
A third of boys in the UK say they never read for enjoyment. When they do read they tend to go for magazines and comics rather than books. So does it matter?

Philippa Budgen meets Nicky Singer who wrote Feather Boy, with her 11 year old son acting as literary editor.
And Jenni is joined by children's author Anthony Horowitz and Julia Eccleshare, children's book editor for The Guardian, to discuss whether boys like particular kinds of books and whether school encourages them to read.
Feather Boy by Nicky Singer (Collins, ISBN: 0 00 7120265, £4.99)
Point Blanc by Anthony Horowitz (Walker, ISBN: 0-7445-5971-5, £4.99)
