Few of us would claim genius status when it comes to money, but a recent survey carried out by the Citizens Advice Bureau, declared us a nation of financial illiterates.

It revealed a catalogue of financial horror stories - some painfully familiar - involving people from all classes and all incomes.
As the shopping season begins, Jenni is joined by Jan Pahl, Professor of Social Policy from the University of Kent, and Deborah Arnott, Head of the Financial Services Association, to take a look at our chaotic relationship with cash and how we came to be such financial degenerates.
