Men on Woman's Hour 24ÌýDecÌý2009

Next Monday, Dec 28th, we’re going to be looking back at our coverage of men on Woman’s Hour.
We thought it was important to do this, as almost 40% of you, our listeners, are of the male variety.
During the past year we’ve broadcast discussions on subjects as diverse as male friendship, men who don’t drive, male infertility and the thorny topic of Speedos versus swimming trunks. In the summer we learned that the Alton Towers Water Park had banned tight swimming trunks. A sharp contrast to France, where Speedos are 'de rigueur'. Jenni was joined in the studio by The Times columnist David Aaronovitch and the journalist Stephen Armstrong to consider the etiquette of male swimwear.

On Monday’s programme there will be some other male-focused highlights, together with the reflections of three studio guests - the writer Tony Parsons, the musician and poet Benjamin Zephaniah and the writer John O’Farrell.
