Should every woman have some?
Japanese wives have traditionally squirrelled away secret reserves of cash known as “bellybutton money” or Hesokuri, money that their husbands don’t know about – meant for a rainy day. Now a recent survey has found that the recession is having a huge effect on these savings which have plunged by 20 per cent since 2008. Should every woman should have their own secret pot of running away money or are financial secrets in a relationship are always unhealthy. To discuss the issues Jenni is joined by Lesley Garner, agony aunt for the Telegraph & author of "Life Lessons" and Karen Pine, author of "Sheconomics" and professor of psychology at the University of Hertfordshire.
