Let's talk about Death 10 March 2010
Challenging the way society deals with death.

Jane Tewson co-founded Comic Relief in the UK and is the Director of the charity Pilotlight Australia. After having ovarian cancer herself and watching a friend die of the same disease she decided to collaborate on a project to take a fresh look at the subject of death. As part of the creative team which came up with the book, 'Dying to Know' she was keen to bring a sense of lightness and humour to a theme that is more commonly associated with the dark and the morbid. But is it appropriate to take such a light hearted view of death? What do you say to someone who has just lost someone close to them? And what little things can you do to help someone who is dying? Jenni discusses society's attitudes to death with Jane Tewson and Tony Walter who runs a masters course in Death and Society at the University of Bath.Ìý
