The Rats' Tales is a dramatic and evocative series, following the lives of three female, brown rats and their struggle to survive and raise their families alongside their human companions.

Episode 5. Friday 16 September, 2005, 15.45-16.00

A fight between the farm cat, the Jack Russel and Fly,Ìýprovides an unexpected rescue for the female rat on the farm in Suffolk.

On Merseyside, the harbour rat mistakes poisoned bait for an edible meal with fatal results. Further north, in Edinburgh, the sewer rat is surprised by a fox whilst foraging for food in an alleyway.

And, then later in Suffolk, the farm rat, the last of our three original females has a terrifying encounter whilst searching for buried acorns in the snow.
