Meddy
Rwandan singer Meddy talks to DJ Edu about his journey from a computer engineering degree in the USA to creating one of East Africa's biggest hits in 2020.
Meddy’s smooth vocals have seduced a legion of fans thanks to love songs like Slowly and Up All Night. Last year the Rwandan scored one of East Africa’s biggest hits by teaming up with Otile Brown on Dusuma. It’s a far cry from the computer engineering degree he started in the USA a decade ago. Speaking to TIA from his base in the States, Meddy takes DJ Edu through his journey so far, covering topics such as lockdown, the healing power of music and his recent engagement – including how he popped that all important question!
To keep up the romantic theme, DJ Edu’s classic track is a vintage love song from the DRC, and TIA also provides your weekly selection of fresh new bangers courtesy of the 10-in-10 mix.
