Kidi, one of the most successful of Ghana’s new generation of artists, has had two big hits with Enjoyment and Say Cheese, and has just dropped his first album, Sugar. This won best album at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He collaborated with legendary US producer Teddy Riley, and had already done a song with Davido, one of the most famous names in Afrobeats.
He tells DJ Edu how thankful he is and how he always knew he’d be a success at something. They also discuss romance, and DJ Edu asks Kidi if he minds that so many of his fans are women. Kidi says his songs are written from a male perspective and urges men to use his love songs to appeal to their women.
