Awilo Longomba and Tendaness
We go behind the scenes on the set of Congolese star Awilo Longomba's latest music video, and showcase Tendaness, a producer, songwriter and DJ from Eswatini.
It’s pretty much impossible to shoot music videos in most parts of the world just now, but Awilo Longomba got his done just in time. It’s to accompany his latest song, Bizou, which means kiss in English, and it’s just been released. We were invited along for part of the shoot, and were amazed to see this huge Congolese star roll up his sleeves and take charge of the choreography.
Also in the programme, we shine a spotlight on a rising talent from Eswatini: Tendaness is a producer, songwriter and DJ and one of the first from his country to be getting airplay and recognition in neighbouring musical giant, South Africa.
DJ Edu also offers a kicking 10 in 10 – ten tracks from ten African countries in ten minutes. The mix includes tracks from Angola, Senegal and Togo.
