Zeynab Abib is a versatile and talented singer from Benin. She has worked with a list of big names in African music including Awilo Longomba, and she is an Afrima award winner for best West African female artist. Before the travel restrictions were in place, Ata Ahli Ahebla, friend of This Is Africa and presenter of Cβest Le Moment music show on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Afrique, travelled to Cotonou to meet her. They discuss the way Zeynab has managed to range across genres including Afrobeats, RβnβB and hip-hop, as well as traditional music, and why traditional music means so much to her. Zeynab also reveals her passion for childrenβs rights, and her admiration for her very famous βbig sisterβ from Benin, Angelique Kidjo.
