Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Arabic is 80 Years Old
Launched in 1938, it is now a multi-media service on TV, radio, online and on mobiles.
Launched in 1938, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Arabic is both the largest and the first of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s non-English language services. It has since grown to become an award-winning multi-media service, available on TV, radio, online and via mobile handheld devices, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Impressively, it currently has a weekly reach of 43 million people. On its 80th birthday we invite two faithful listeners to tell us what they think of today’s service and what changes they would make, while Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Arabic radio programmes editor, Safaa Faisal, gives Rajan a bit of the history.
Also, the feature which gives you the chance to say what you really think about the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World Service How I Hear It is back with Julian from France.
