Antonio Guterres said he was alarmed how far the world was off course in tackling climate change. We speak to Barbara Davidson from Carbon Tracker who published a report that found many companies do not include their climate impact in their financial statements. Also, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Fergus Nicoll explores the prospects for deep sea mining to access metals required in the production of batteries. Gerard Barron is chief executive of The Metals Company which aims to exploit polymetallic nodules, found on the seabed off southern Mexico, and recently listed on the NASDAQ. Michael Lodge is secretary general of the International Seabed Authority, and explains the rules around commercial exploitation of such resources. And we hear about the environmental issues involved from Dr Kirsten Thompson, lecturer in biosciences at the University of Exeter.
