We ask if it's a good idea to pay a ransom if your computer is infected with ransomware. The EU's law enforcement agency Europol says it is the biggest cybercrime threat today, and Philipp Amann, head of strategy at Europol's European Cybercrime Centre in The Hague tells us how hackers are targeting high-value companies using ransomware. Professor Alan Woodward is a cyber-security expert at the University of Surrey, and explains how hackers carry out the crime. We hear from Nancy Rainosek, chief information security officer for the US state of Texas how they dealt with a total of 23 co-ordinated ransomware raids targeting local governments across the state. And we talk to hacker turned security advisor Kevin Mitnick about why he carried out his crimes.
