The popular messaging service WhatsApp is raising its minimum age limit to 16 in the EU. Rosemary Jay is a data protection lawyer at the legal firm Hunton Andrews, and tells how the move brings WhatsApp in line with new European data protection laws. And we hear about the impact of social media use on children from Philip Powell, a research fellow in economics at Sheffield University in the UK.
