Jo Kent

Biography

Jo Kent has been part of the South Today presentation team since 2004. Jo grew up in West Sussex and trained as a broadcast journalist in London.

Jo joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ as a radio presenter in Guernsey, and also worked for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ regional programme in Norwich where she first started TV presenting. Her work for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Five Live, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sports News has also reached national audiences.

Jo loves the work-life balance of regional news and the range of stories she gets to cover, everything from being on the election trail with political leaders to competing in the Round the Island Yacht Race with Dame Ellen MacArthur at the helm.

Outside of work, Jo is always planning a house project or the next holiday, and enjoys spending time sharing food and good wine with friends. She lives in the New Forest with her husband, four sons, a giant dog and two cats.
