About Ian Hart
Ian Hart is a well-established stage, television and film actor. One of his earliest film performances came in Ken Loach’s Land and Freedom (1995) in which he was cast as David Carr, an International Brigades volunteer fighting in the Spanish Civil War. He went on play an unemployed ship worker in Stephen Frear’s 2000 film Liam and Professor Quirrell in the hugely successful Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001). His recent film credits include Michael Winterbottom’s A Cock and Bull Story (2006), A Boy Called Dad (2009) and the forthcoming comedy drama Dough.
Ian’s television performances include roles in The Hound of Baskervilles (2003), The Return of Sherlock Holmes (2004), Dirt (2007-8) and the widely acclaimed US drama Boardwalk Empire (2014). He also played Adolf Hitler in the Â鶹ԼÅÄ drama The Man Who Crossed Hitler (2011).
