Martin, from Hornchurch, Essex, began learning the piano at the age of six and bassoon and recorder from the age of eight. By the time he was 12 he’d achieved Grade 8 Distinction on all three. Martin’s ambition is to play the piano professionally. He’s passionate about his solo repertoire and loves to play in chamber ensembles, including two piano quintets. Martin enjoys reading and listening to Martha Argerich and Vladimir Horowitz.
