The headmaster of Ivy’s school.
A Londoner by birth, Henry moved to Bristol to support his ailing wife. As an outside hire, it took Henry years to gain the respect and support of the staff at Sunbridge High. As his wife’s condition deteriorated, Henry found it harder and harder to cope. Now a widower, work has been his salvation.
With Ivy’s return, Henry must face the darkness of his past decisions and find a way to make things right.
Nicholas Farrell
Nicholas Farrell has forged a long and distinguished career on both stage and screen. Soon to be seen in the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Len Deighton adaptation SS-GB, Nicholas’s other recent television credits include historical drama 37 Days, political thriller Secret State and Doctor Who spin-off .
In cinemas he has played MP Airey Neave in The Iron Lady, abolitionist Henry Thornton in Amazing Grace and European royalty Jean-Charles Rey in Grace of Monaco.
On stage, Nicholas played Lewis Carrol in Peter and Alice alongside Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw. He appeared in Sam Mendes’ adaptation of The Cherry Orchard, and Cymbeline, The Revenger's Tragedy and The Merchant of Venice at the RSC.
