Bethany Kingsley-Garner

Ballet Mentor

Bethany Kingsley-Garner is a Principal Dancer with Scottish Ballet, Scotland’s national dance company. She performs across the UK and around the world, dancing lead roles in classical repertoire as well as in ground-breaking new work with choreographers such as Crystal Pite, Helen Pickett and David Dawson.

Born in Devon, Bethany trained at the Royal Ballet Schools from age 11 and graduated with Honours in 2007. Having joined Scottish Ballet, she was promoted to Soloist and then Principal Dancer. In 2016 she was nominated by the Critics Circle for Outstanding Classical Performance. In addition to performing, she is actively involved in Dance Education, teaching and guest coaching at workshops and seminars. She has recently received certification for her teaching from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and was selected as a Champion of Scotland to inspire, motivate and encourage young people.

Bethany is regularly asked to present to audiences and in 2018 she performed The Sugarplum fairy variation in The Sadler’s Wells showcase production of Dance Sampled at The Lowry Theatre. Bethany has modelled for photographic projects in film, exhibitions and magazine features. She is delighted to be a mentor for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Dancer 2019.
