Catriona Shearer

Catriona Shearer is best known for waking up the nation – as the face of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland's Breakfast TV bulletins. She can also be seen presenting Reporting Scotland and has hosted the programme live from Wimbledon.

Away from the news desk, Catriona has helped ring in the New Year on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1 on the Hogmanay Programme, has presented Midsummer Live from the Isle of May and has featured in several Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ documentaries including Scots' language series . As a keen music fan, she's covered live for television, and has hosted the New Music Zone for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland.

She fulfilled an ambition by making her comedy debut on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's legendary Hogmanay programme . Continuing the football theme she's sometimes heard co-presenting the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's irreverent football show . She has also appeared in - playing herself - as a newsreader.

Her career began in London, where Catriona worked as a producer on . She developed her journalistic skills, but more importantly, her ability to get up early!

Before joining the team in Glasgow, Catriona worked in Cardiff for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Wales and co-presented the Saturday afternoon Sports programme Sportstime.
