Francis comes from Essex and started the bassoon at the age of ten. From very early on he decided that he wanted to be a professional musician, and make the bassoon more popular. He is currently studying with Sarah Andrew at the Junior Royal College of Music. Francis plays the piano, viola, sings and has composed several choral and instrumental works. He also has a keen interest in conducting and studies this at RCMJD. He is about to take his A-levels and enjoys politics, travel and walking.
