Mishal Husain

Mishal Husain joined the Today presenting team in October 2013.

Mishal's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ career began in 1998 as a producer and she became one of the main presenters on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World News, spending time based in Singapore and Washington as well as presenting live on location from around the world.

Mishal Husain has presented four critically-acclaimed Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ single documentaries and series: Malala – Shot for Going to School; How Facebook Changed the World – the Arab Spring; a three-part series on the life of Mahatma Gandhi; and Britain & Europe – The Immigration Question, broadcast in the days before the EU referendum vote.

In January 2016 she was named by the Sunday Times as one of the 500 most influential people in Britain; in 2015 she was Broadcaster of the Year at the London Press Club Awards and Presenter of the Year at the Women in Film and TV Awards.
