Colin Wall
Played by Simon McBurney
45-year-old Colin is married to and father of (Stuart). He is Deputy Head of Winterdown School, the local comprehensive, however a man less suited to state education would be hard to find. Constantly surrounded by the hormonal upheavals of young adults, he craves peace and calm; order and unity. He is completely unable to laugh at himself.
Colin has a terrible relationship with his son, Fats, is unable to empathise with him on any level and constantly rails against his teenage behaviour.

Simon McBurney is a seasoned actor on both stage and screen and one of Britain’s most acclaimed theatre directors as founder and Artistic Director of the multi-award winning Theatre de Complicite.
Simon’s television credits include , The Borgias, , The Vicar of Dibley and The Crying Game.
In film, Simon has appeared in a variety of popular films, including Mission Impossible 5, Woody Allen’s Magic In The Moonlight, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Jane Eyre, Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Golden Compass and The Last King of Scotland.
Theatre performances with Theatre de Complicite include The Master and Margarita, All My Sons and A Disappearing Number. Simon also recently performed in Measure for Measure at The National Theatre.
