Is tuna safe to eat?
Ocean activists are calling for tinned tuna to be banned from hospitals, school canteens, care homes and maternity wards after high concentrations of mercury were found in every sample analysed. Dr Xand busts myths around tuna and whether you need to be worried about the amount you eat. He explains how tuna is a good source of protein and that studies have shownΒ it's unlikely that the average person will consume enough mercury via the fishΒ to cause them serious harm.
