Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
Terry has advice on growing celeriac, a vital ingredient for a winter soup. He suggests planting green manure on bare soil before the temperatures drop too far, in order to replenish nutrients into the soil ready for next season.
It's time to check whether the sweetcorn is ready for harvest, despite Terry's plants not reaching their full height this year.
And while the leaves are still on the trees it's a good time to take control of the mulberry bush which has grown out of its space this year.
