Deadpool & Wolverine, Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 were some of the summer's biggest hits - and although box office takings still haven't reached pre-Covid levels, it's clear that family films still have huge allure.

And in the independent sector, different countries are working together to produce some innovative cinema and restore old classics for the big screen.
