La Tomatina: The origins of Spain's huge annual tomato fight
Every year, thousands of people in BuΓ±ol, Spain throw tomatoes at each other on the last Wednesday of August. It all began in 1945, when teenager Goltran Zanon and his friends started a tomato fight in the streets of the town.
Goltran is the only one of those boys still alive. His daughter, Maria Jose tells Stefania Gozzer about the festival's origins.
