In a joint statement, Merseyside's faith leaders said the childrenβs families should be "at the forefront of all our thoughtsβ adding that the stabbing had "shocked and appalled" people of every faith and those of none.
Today in Southport, in a church close to where the stabbing took place, a service was held for around 150 people, who congregated in solidarity and mourning.
