Talking Movies French Cinema Classics: 'Cyrano de Bergerac'
Gerard Depardieu has become a controversial name in France in recent months due to historic sexual assault charges he's facing - nevertheless, he's been one of France's most prolific and rewarded on-screen actors.

As author, journalist and critic Agnès C. Poirier tells Talking Movies, the film remains one of the most expensive and lavish productions in the history of French cinema.
